How to join?

If you'd like to try out Judo or have done some Judo before and are looking for a Judo club in Stoke on Trent or North Staffordshire, come along to a either a Tuesday session in Trentham (Juniors and primaries from 7:30pm to 8:30pm, Seniors from 8:30pm to 10:00pm) or a Friday session in Sneyd Green (Juniors and primaries from 7:15pm to 8:30pm and Seniors from 8:30pm to 10:00pm)

The Judo coaches (Sensei) will be at hand to answer any questions. The first session is free and you are also welcome to stay and observe a session before trying it out. Our coaches are Ron Knapper 4th Dan and Steve Smith 1st Kyu who are fully qualified FPJ2 coaches.

We recommend you come in loose clothing for the first session, for example an old zip free tracksuit bottoms and sweatshirt; we will provide a jacket and belt.

If you enjoy the session and would like to continue you will need to obtain a provisional (3 month) BJC** licence from the club. After this you will need an annual BJC licence, which entitles you to enter competetions, receive gradings and also includes insurance whilst you are on the mat.

You will also need a Judo Suit (Judogi) which can be purchased through the club and a small selection of used suits are usually available for a small charge.

For prices of licences, mat fees and other information please see Club Information > Club Factsheet.
